HCL Workforce Solutions is one of the UK’s leading providers of healthcare professionals and workforce solutions to the health and social care markets. Through HCL Social Care it provides Birmingham City Council with social workers for the Children Services Division.
With a high percentage of social workers being non-desk based and a mix between locums and permanent staff, creating a unified team had become a challenge. The lack of accessible communication channels for field-based and locum staff had left them feeling disconnected from the wider organization.
HCL selected StaffConnect to support internal employee communication, collaboration and engagement between social work employees at Birmingham City Council. The app deployment is a first of its kind within any local authority in the UK.
